Matt Miller, LEED AP IGSHPA ACCREDITED INSTALLER
Matt Miller was born and raised in Reno, NV and studied at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Astrospace Engineering and an appointment as an Ensign in the Navy. During his time in the Navy, he earned his FE certification in Civil Engineering from the National Council for Engineering and Surveying.
After the Navy, Matt became interested in renewable energy and searched for a technology where his engineering and leadership background could significantly impact today's pressing environmental issues. With that goal in mind, Matt earned his certification as an Accredited Installer and Designer of Geothermal Heating and Cooling systems from the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association in 2008. Matt has also earned his certification as an Accredited Professional (LEED AP) from the US Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Matt was the design lead on the largest geothermal heat pump system ever installed on a residence and has designed geothermal heat pump systems for commercial and industrial clients throughout the West. Past clients include Turner Construction, Bentley Prince Street, Schluter Systems and many other international companies and engineering teams looking to fully utilize their geothermal resources.
